It goes something a little like this...

Customer - "Hi there I'm looking to buy some trousers for Winter walking, what would you recommend?"

Me - "Well, when I was in Scotland last week, on the top of Ben Nevis with Dave MacLeod and Stuart McAleese, I was wearing some Mountain Equipment Ultimate Mountain G2 pants - made of the spectacular Gore Windstopper soft shell that not only looked good but felt good too!" and try telling me that's not going to impress the punters?

It was one of those moments where you had to keep pinching yourself to remind yourself of how amazing it all was. The weather was perfect, views for miles, just the right amount of adrenaline, great 'free' kit, superb company and all for the Glory of the Cotswold Empire - oh yes and I was getting paid to do it.

Stu McAleese - legendary leader of all things relating to Mountains; Dave MacLeod - all 'round nice guy and climbing guru and last but not least my ME Randonee Gloves - OMG the best gloves I've ever had the pleasure of wearing in Wintery conditions - the bomb!
