Just feeling the last of aches and pains leaving my legs, though working in a store with four floors, the day after my first Half Marathon is a little uncomfortable to say the least!
Finshed the run 1n 1 hour 46, which was 6 minutes over my target, but i'm very pleased none the less. Learnt a lot of lessons, pacing and recovery two of the most important.
Nutrition worked well, i took two energy gels with me and had one after 4 and 8 miles, in reality i didn't really need the second one, but i want to get used to eating while on the move. Water stations were provide so i could practice absorbing fluid by osmosis as i chuck the cups of water in my face in an attempt to drink while running!
Next event - 100k Mountain bike marathon in LLandovery on sunday - looking forward to it :-)
