Yes - that is Stuart McAleese, one of Britain's finest alpinists.  With an impressive resume of big wall and alpine face first ascents, Stuart's day job is an instructor and guide with Plas y Brenin.  And the Cotswold staff on the winter skills courses have been lucky enough to be mentored by him on all aspects of mountaineering in the Scottish Highlands for the past week.  And as if he isn't talented enough, he can also tap dance.  In crampons.

This is our photo of the day, taken by Rachel Kearns from the Grasmere store:Stuart McAleese - taken by Rachel Kearns January 25th 2010

Stuart McAleese is one of Mountain Equipment's Pro Partners, and you can read more about him and his exploits here: http://www.mountain-equipment.co.uk/about_us/pro_partners/stu_mc_aleese/
