MATT:
Even though it was the last day today, I didn’t feel like getting out of bed. Then I got out of bed and drank some coffee and ate some cereal which woke me up. We were on the road by 6:30am so we figured it was quiet enough to skate on the A road. So we skated the A road and then some B roads and then some bad roads and ended up in Penzance at 9 o’clock where we got interviewed on the radio by a friendly person called James. We had a big breakfast and after a long break we skated up the hill. It made me want to die but at the top it was fine again. We kept having long breaks to wait for people to arrive at Lands End so the last 10 miles were pretty chill. There were some very steep hills so I did some steezy standup slides in front of the tourists. Mum told me off for skating into the opposite lane which made me rage but I decided to forgive her because we were near the finish. The last 4 miles were smooth and easy and lee joined us for the last one. When we got to Lands End, lots of people clapped and took our photo which was nice.
I don’t really know how I feel. I’m happy to be finished and that the boards were good. I’m also a bit sad that our summer adventure has come to an end. People keep asking whether we’ll do another trip next year but at certain points I felt like I never want to skate anywhere ever again. However, on the whole I enjoyed the experience and wouldn’t mind doing another trip with the boys. I think someone said something about America next year…
