MATT:

It was wet today, and all the thin little lanes made me rage. You can’t see very far down them so you can’t really skate the downhills, especially with all the moss and stones in the middle. It sucks! Then we came out onto some main road, and everything was put in perspective for me. You see, there was a little snail with an orange shell setting out on its own end-to-end adventure from one side of the road to the other. It was pretty good looking as far as snails go, quite petite. Anyway, I saw it just a second too late and heard the horrible crunch as I ran it over with my front left wheel. Some of it was sprayed up my leg. I felt bad because it was only about 5% of the way across the road. That’s equivalent to me getting squashed by a lorry at the end of our first day! So anyway we skated up some hills and down some hills and ended the day at Truro, our 3rd 60+ mile day in a row and 944.5 miles done overall. If we don’t hit 1000 before Land’s End I’m gonna skate towards home until I have done 1000 because that’s super cool.

LAURA: I will let Charlie and Lee talk about the day when they find the time, but just quickly, before I head to sleep, I want to say this:

These lads are the toughest skaters I've seen in action for myself. If you'd seen half of what I've seen them go through on this trip (and there are many photos to prove this), you'd be off to our Justgiving in a heartbeat. This is the last night, they're all falling asleep in the tent next to me and I'm so proud of each of them for what they have achieved already. Tomorrow is the final day, 1000 miles in 21 days is, well...Orsum.

Goodnight lads, get some rest, the last miles are out there, waiting.
