Clothing still in the port - but we´ve visited recipients

Well we are almost there with the clothing donation!  We´ll be in Lima again tomorrow with Dany (Andean Outreach) to try and finalise the payments to customs and the shipping companies as well as obtaining all of the required documents to avoid paying duty!

It has been incredibly difficult to work all of this out but after visiting two of the recipient orphanges over the last few days, it seems insignificant now.  We also had an unexpected visit to the only old people´s home in the region - just opened last year - and it looks like a 107 year-old lady from Huancayo will be wearing a North Face fleece next week!

The people working in the orphanges and old people´s homes are very special as well - they work for very, very little but with very big hearts.  We wish them all the best in expanding their services and helping more people in Huancayo and the surrounding villages.

Hey Michael, Not sure if this is feedback your getting from other stores, but still getting people coming in on occasion asking when the next round of collections will be and also asking after the clothing that was previously donated. Your both doing a wicked job and i wish you the best on the rest of the trip - hopefully wont put you off doing it again! Regards, Stu
