A group of friends from Bromsgrove and Droitwich reached their peak when they took part in a charity climb.

The team walked six to eight hours each day, covering 18 kilometres in order to reach the summit 5895 metres high, in the early hours of Thursday 14 August.

The team completed a six month training programmeto prepare them for the climb, which involved lots of hill walking including Swindon, the Brecon Beacons and the Malverns.

The trip has raised money for the Primrose Hospice, in St Godwalds Road, who offer advice and support  to cancer patients and their families. One of the climbers, Louise Chance, said; 'Three members of the group have lost their grandparents to cancer.

Cotswold Outdoor, Droitwich have supported the team by providing them with equipment, help, knowledge and advice and wish them the best luck for any further expeditions they may undertake.
