NEW! Cotswold Outdoor Bushcraft and Wilderness Cookery Courses – now available!


Cotswold Outdoor are proud to present our new range of courses to help you enjoy the wilder side of life. Working in conjunction with respected bushcraft skills providers, The Bushcraft Company, we have carefully designed courses with highly skilled and fully qualified instructors ready to teach you the necessary skills to enjoy the outdoors in a new and exciting way.
Our beautiful secluded site on a private estate in rural Oxfordshire is the ultimate escape from a hectic modern day existence, and is the perfect setting to begin your bushcraft training.
We are running a series of 2 day courses in September, and these are only available to purchase in selected stores.

Bushcraft £235 10-11 & 24-25 September 2011
Our Bushcraft two day course offers a great opportunity to gain real understanding of what it means to live in the wild. Bushcraft is a set of ancient skills used daily by our ancestors, and is a fantastic way of introducing you to our wilderness and countryside for inspiration and adventure.

Wilderness Cookery £265 3-4 & 17-18 September 2011
Our Wilderness Cookery course teaches you how to cook amazing food over an open fire using techniques that take you way beyond the barbecue. You will learn to light and manage wood fires and produce meals like venison roasted in a pit oven, salmon boned and panassed over hot coals, bannock bread and even pineapple upside down cake in a dutch oven. You will be sleeping in comfortable bell tents in one of our stunning safari style camps.

These courses are exclusively available to Cotswold Outdoor customers. Book early to avoid disappointment!




Free Boot Fitting Service

Unless they're selected carefully and fit your feet perfectly, your new boots may leave you with bruised toes and painful blisters. The answer? Visit us in store where our trained boot fitting experts will measure your feet for length, width and weight distribution.
They'll test your boots in action on specially designed, outdoor-like incline boards and fine tune the fit where necessary.
Already have boots but having problems with them? No problem! Just pop in to store with your boots and we'll see what we can do. Often simple adjustments with insoles, lacing or manipulation can help.
