We are holding another one of our very popular navigation workshops for the local scouts. Activities during the evening include, map reading and compass skills delivered by our ex mountain leader staff member bill. A hill safety demo, and what to have in your rucksack by Penrith mountain rescue including a short video on what they do. And then we set the groups a little orienteering challenge with bit of a quiz linked in to demonstrate the skills they have just learned with prizes for the top 3 teams. All in all a very fun evening with some important hill skills learned as well.
