Welcome to Cotswold Outdoor, Bristol! Our store opened on September 17th 2010 and has become a welcome addition to already buzzing outdoor scene in Bristol.

Bristol is such a great city for outdoor adventures; from climbing at Avon and Cheddar Gorge (we always have local guidebooks in stock) or at the local climbing walls, heading across the Severn Bridge to South Wales or down the motorway to the Mendips, Dartmoor or Exmoor for hiking and cmaping. We can advise upon and supply all you need for your next adventure, wherever that may take you.

When you visit, you'll find helpful, friendly and attentive staff from a wide spectrum of outdoor backgrounds. This we believe enables us to give the best possible advice in Bristol for your outdoor adventures. So whether you're off climbing in the Alps or the greater ranges, going climbing for the first time, training for your Mountain Leader Award in the Brecon Beacons or going skiing for the first time, we've got staff that will be able to offer friendly, informed and helpful advice.

We also like to hear your stories as we learn a lot from customer feedback. On that note, if you have a story to tell, or can advise us on techniques and gear you have used that worked for you, please feel free to drop in...we view customers as friends that we haven't met yet.

Our extensive library section has leather furniture and a coffee machine, so why not pop in for a browse before you make your mind up on which book to buy for you next adventure, whether that be an outdoor one or an armchair one!

With clothing and equipment that has been tried and tested by our staff, you can rest assured that wherever you may wander, you will be comfortable, safe and return home with many a tale to tell.

Supporting local groups

We are pleased to be able to support local groups such as Duke of Edinburgh participants, Ten Tors, Scout and Guide groups and climbing clubs. Events with an affiliation to the outdoors are also a favourite. If you are organising a local event, run a local club/group or Outdoor Education centre and think that we may be able to help, please contact the store and speak to Tommy, our Local Marketing Representative. We really enjoy giving kit talks specifically tailored to groups and they are something of a speciality for us. We are happy to do these in store or at your chosen venue.
