Welcome to Cotswold Outdoor - Kingston
As Store Manager I would like to welcome you to our store. We are the oldest Cotswold Outdoor store in London. Our experienced staff come from a variety of backgrounds and is always happy to offer the best advice which makes Cotswold Outdoor Kingston able to cater to your every need. All of our staff are highly trained and are as passionate about the outdoors as you are.
This 5,500 sq. ft. store is spread over two floors, and is located at the top of Clarence Street. It is only a two minute walk from Kingston Railway Station, and only a minute walk from the main bus station. The Bentalls Centre is close by and there are numerous car parks.
We pride ourselves on offering a complete selection of outdoor kit year round. Whether you need travel clothing during the winter or a down jacket during the summer, you can find it here. Our knowledgeable and well-travelled staff are always on hand to provide advice, information and equipment for all your adventures. Your technical outdoor kit is great on the hill or in the mountains, but did you know that we also stock casual outdoor clothing? It's perfect for relaxing down at the pub after a day's adventure.
An extensive footwear range is backed up with experienced staff to provide the best footwear fitting service in the area. Also, a full range of outdoor equipment is on display ranging from clothing to sleeping bags, tents to rucksacks and climbing equipment to travel equipment. Our library department boasts a large range of books, maps and guides and can complete any adventure.
Expert Boot Fitting –
Wherever your outdoor passions take you, well fitted footwear is essential for the health and comfort of your feet and, therefore, your enjoyment.
There are many factors to consider when choosing the right pair of boots, so let our highly-trained and knowledgeable staff walk you through the process with a FREE boot fitting in store.
We will examine your feet, take detailed measurements, discuss your choice of socks and of course consider any issues which may have caused you discomfort in the past. Combining our measurements and checks with your feedback, we can make any necessary adjustments to the fit of the boots before you take them. If you need to bring them back for any further tweaking, feel free: that’s all part of the service.
Our store can sometimes get very busy at lunchtimes and on the weekends, so call ahead to book an appointment!
Expert Rucksack Fitting –
Whether you’re walking a section of Hadrian’s Wall or the whole of the Inca Trail, you don’t want an ill-fitting pack to spoil your enjoyment. As well as deciding on the features you need, such as a rain cover, hydration compatibility, walking pole loops, various pockets and of course the size, it is vital to ensure the pack is a good fit.
Everybody is a different shape, so the layout of shoulder straps, hip belt and chest straps needs to be right for you. Some packs are adjustable, some come in a range of sizes, and some even have heat-moldable components to match your shape exactly. Most packs will be comfortable when there’s nothing in them, so once we’ve measured your back and adjusted the bag, we’ll try it on you with weight in. Of course, you’ll need to make sure it’s OK with your kit in it, so we recommend you load it up once you get it home and try it out: you’re very welcome to bring it back in for fine tuning.
